Chokladfabriken in Sundbyberg, originally constructed in 1918 as a chocolate factory for Marabou, has undergone numerous extensions and modernizations over the years. In 2020, a major renovation of the ground floor was carried out to revive the building’s original character and charm. As part of this transformation, the main entrance was relocated, a restaurant kitchen was installed, elevators were replaced, and a new conference area was added.

Fidell was responsible for the tenant build-out of the property. This included updates to two of the existing atriums, the addition of a restaurant, and a renovation of the stairwells – all designed with visual elements inspired by chocolate bars. Special attention was given to lighting design and architectural details that celebrate the building’s unique history.
